Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions that drive data‑driven decisions across the organization. You will work with clinical and business stakeholders to create data models, marts, reports, and dashboards that enhance operational, clinical, and financial performance.

You will collaborate with analytics, IT, and leadership to ensure governance, validation, and deployment of analytic solutions, with a focus on healthcare data and Epic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2 years of SQL query development is required.
• 2 years of data visualization development using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar software is required.
• 4 years of experience in data modeling, report development, data reporting, or data analysis is required.
• 1 year Crystal Reports development is preferred.
• 1 year of experience working with healthcare data is preferred.
• EPIC - Clarity Data Model certification must be pursued; Epic training will be provided on hire and initial certifications within three attempts are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models, subject area marts, reports, dashboards, and self-service tools.
• Develop and maintain reports and visualizations to support organizational needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design analytic solutions improving operational, clinical, and financial performance.
• Participate in governance, validation, and documentation of BI solutions and data models.
• Perform data analysis to support clinical, financial, and operational initiatives.
• Support electronic medical record BI data models and reports, including tooling upgrades.

Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Developer designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions that promotes data driven decision making across the organization. The Developer works collaboratively with business and clinical stakeholders, business analysts, technical support teams and leadership to design and deploy analytic solutions that support operational, clinical, and financial performance improvement. The incumbent utilizes critical thinking, technical, analytical, and communication skills to create data models, subject area marts, reports, data visualizations, and self-service tools that meet customer needs.

Essential Functions

• Utilizes business intelligence development tools to design, deploy, and maintain moderate to complex data models, extracts, subject area marts, stored procedures, and self-service reporting tools that support organization wide data driven activities.


• Develops and maintains reports, data visualizations, and interactive dashboards that meet customer needs.


• Maintains regular written and verbal communications with key stakeholders and leadership to support the design, implementation, validation and governance of business intelligence solutions.


• Maintains and supports electronic medical record business intelligence data models, functions, and reports. This includes active participation and support of software upgrades.


• Documents technical/business specifications, performs testing and data validation to support data governance and maintenance of business intelligence solutions.


• Performs data analysis to support organization clinical, financial, and operational performance improvement initiatives.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelors in or 4 years' work related experience Required


• Masters in in Business Administration, Computer Science, Informatics, or related discipline. Preferred

Experience

• 2 years SQL query development Required


• 2 years Data visualization development using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar software Required


• 4 years of experience in data modeling, report development, data reporting, or data analysis Required


• 1 year Crystal Reports development Preferred


• 1 year of experience working with healthcare data Preferred

License and Certifications

• EPIC - Clarity Data Model - Certification Must take Epic's Clarity Data Model training and successfully gain initial certifications within three attempts. Epic training will be given upon hiring. Required
