Job summary

Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer, Developer Experience to join our Learning and Development organization. You will craft clear developer documentation, tutorials, and training programs, while enabling AI adoption across engineering teams.

The role focuses on writing and learning design, producing API docs, runbooks, and tutorials, and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent through bootcamp or certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and enthusiasm for how it changes developer work.
• Active use of AI tools (Claude, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate writing and research.
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and maintain high-quality technical content: API docs, READMEs, runbooks, integration guides, architecture overviews, SDK references.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure accurate and usable documentation.
• Establish standards, templates, and style guides across teams; contribute to internal knowledge systems.
• Develop training programs and onboarding materials for engineering audiences; create videos and walkthroughs.
• Support AI adoption by creating guides for tools like GitHub Copilot and IBChat; translate workflows into actionable materials.
