Job summary

Hudson Manpower Inc. is seeking a highly technical Developer / Data Analyst in Cary, NC.

You will work with business and data science teams to translate business problems into analytical and technical solutions, performing in-depth data analysis with SQL and Informatica MFT across platforms like Big Data, Oracle, and SQL Server. You will develop data integrations using Informatica MFT, DBT, and Snowflake, document requirements, and validate data through scripts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, IT or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Solutions Development/Data Analysis.
• 5+ years in Data Management/Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica MFT.
• Mandatory experience with Informatica MFT, DBT, and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of distributed computing principles.
• Extensive experience in data analysis and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data exploration tools.
• Experience writing functional requirements and high-level design docs.
• Hands-on experience developing validation scripts for data/ETL.
• Data governance concepts: metadata, data lineage, data quality rules.

We are looking for a highly technical Developer / Data Analyst with strong experience in ETL, Informatica MFT, DBT, Snowflake, SQL, and data analysis. The candidate will work closely with business, data product, ETL, and data science teams to translate business problems into technical and analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business and data product teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions with clearly defined outcomes.

• Perform in-depth data analysis using SQL, Informatica MFT, and other exploratory tools across platforms such as Big Data, Oracle, SQL Server, and other data environments.

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements and transformation rules for ETL teams.

• Develop and support data integrations using Informatica MFT, DBT, and Snowflake.

• Work closely with ETL and data science teams to review requirements, data integrations, and transformation processes.

• Understand business and data science requirements and assess their impact on business use cases.

• Develop validation scripts to validate data loaded by ETL teams and assess data using MFT and DBT.

• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and design requirements and formulate technical designs.

• Gather and document functional requirements based on business domain knowledge.

• Capture and maintain metadata, data lineage, reference data management, and data quality rules as part of data governance.

• Perform data profiling, anomaly detection, and quality analysis across various datasets.

• Develop functional requirements and high-level technical/design documentation.

• Work with globally distributed teams to drive project delivery and ensure successful implementation.

• Collaborate with senior IT and business stakeholders to identify, raise, and track defects through project completion.

• Participate in Agile development processes and follow established SDLC methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in Solutions Development, Data Analysis, or a related technical discipline.

• 5+ years of experience working within Data Management / Data Engineering organizations.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Informatica MFT and related scripting/data integration technologies.

• Mandatory experience with Informatica MFT, DBT, and Snowflake.

• Strong understanding of distributed computing principles.

• Extensive experience in data analysis and data modeling, including table design.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and data exploration tools.

• Experience writing detailed functional requirements, transformation rules, and high-level design documents.

• Hands‑on experience developing validation scripts for data, data integrations, and ETL transformations.

• Strong data analysis, data profiling, and data quality assurance skills.

• Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts.

• Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets.

• Strong SQL skills for data anomaly detection and data quality validation.

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Strong experience with Informatica MFT and DBT.

• Working knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake.

• Experience in the Insurance industry, preferably in a Lead Analyst or senior technical role.

• Experience interacting with senior IT and business leadership.

• Experience raising, managing, and tracking defects through project completion.

• Knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, and cloud‑based data environments.
