Technology Summer Internship (11 Weeks)

Role Overview:
This 11-week internship provides an opportunity to explore potential career paths within the Technology organization. You’ll work on real projects, gain valuable experience, and participate in training and development activities.

Technology Engineering Internship Pathways:

1. Developer Engineer:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software using front-end and back-end technologies.
• Design and operationalize cloud-native applications using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Build applications in environments combining on-prem solutions and cloud platforms.
• Develop and support applications using modern programming languages on AWS and Azure.
• Ensure system security, scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Analyze existing architectures and contribute to infrastructure improvements.
• Write clean, secure, and well-tested code.
• Understand front-end and back-end architecture to improve scalability and quality.
• Deliver responsive, cross-platform web experiences.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborative coding.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively.
• Propose innovative solutions and challenge existing practices.

2. Infrastructure Engineer:

• Support the development and maintenance of systems, applications, and solutions.

• Assist in system migrations and evaluations.

3. Modern Workplace Engineer:

• Support platform building, configuration, and maintenance.
• Monitor performance and capacity.
• Guide business and support teams on platform usage.
• Design solutions with business needs in mind.
• Identify requirements gaps and impacts on work processes.
• Communicate solutions to non-technical staff.
• Support system migrations and continuous platform improvement.

Required Skills:

• Rising senior or graduate student in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java, C#).
• Experience in object-oriented development.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and complexity theory.
• Strong database and scripting skills.
