Job summary

TypeSafe AI, Inc. in San Francisco is building a community around Jev, our AI-native platform. You’ll own member experience and the systems behind onboarding, events, and engagement, turning early interest into an active, contributing developer community.

You’ll collaborate with founders, engineers, and Developer Relations to design programs, run hackathons and meetups, and drive meaningful, user-centered growth in a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• Experience building or scaling developer communities or startup operations.
• Ability to design programs and manage event logistics from recruitment to follow‑through.
• Strong operational judgment and attention to detail with multiple moving pieces.
• Clear, warm communication and responsive feedback handling.
• Comfort with automation of community and operations processes.
• Curiosity about AI and ability to understand developers’ needs and blockers.

Responsibilities

• Run community channels, welcome members, foster conversations, establish guidelines.
• Build programs for engaged developers and partner with organizers.
• Own hackathons, meetups, and community events from planning through follow‑up.
• Develop tools, docs, and automations for onboarding, support, and events.
• Surface recurring questions and product feedback to the technical team.
• Track participation, retention, response times, and outcomes to improve programs.
