Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Copywriter, Developer to shape how we communicate with developers, translating complex AI concepts into clear, trusted narratives across launch materials, social channels, and enterprise communications. You will work in a dedicated dev-focused pod, collaborating with a brand designer and program manager, and report to the Head of Copy and Content to own the developer voice and tone.

This role blends technical accuracy with brand storytelling in a hybrid SF/NYC/Seattle

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional writing for developers or technical audiences.
• Proven track record shipping developer-facing work in-house or via agency.
• Able to translate technical features into clear value propositions.
• Experience turning technical material into concise short-form copy.
• Experience using AI writing tools (e.g., Claude) in workflow.
• Strong collaboration with engineers and DevRel as creative partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead copy across brand campaigns, launch narratives, social, paid, event materials, and enterprise developer touchpoints.
• Co-build the developer voice and tone guide with Communications and DevRel, turning guidelines into practical templates.
• Embedded DevRel partnership to complement technical documentation and content.
• Digest technical specs, changelogs, and product docs to synthesize material into crisp, accurate short-form copy.
• Cross-functional creative leadership within the developer pod with product leaders and reviewers.
• Present voice decisions and copy rationale to Brand, DevRel, Comms, and Marketing.
• Track performance of developer-facing content and iterate based on feedback.
