Job summary

You.com seeks a Developer Relations leader to ship demos, sample apps, and integrations across the agent stack. You’ll own open-source contributions, publish content, and grow a global builder community.

You’ll speak at conferences, run hackathons, and nurture authentic, non-promotional engagement with developers on Discord, Reddit, and partner channels. You.com emphasizes transparent, in-public work, programming for major conferences, and a strong focus on real adoption and API usage.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with hands-on code shipping in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building with LLM APIs, agents, MCP, and modern AI developer tools.
• Visible track record of building in public (GitHub, blogs, videos, talks).
• Deep connections in the developer/open-source community; West Coast presence a plus.
• Experience speaking at conferences and organizing meetups/hackathons.
• Strong writing ability; comfortable on camera and streams.
• Authentic, low-hype voice developers trust.
• Proactive, able to build programs from scratch.
• DevRel or developer evangelism experience preferred.
• Existing following on GitHub/X/YouTube/Twitch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build demos, sample apps, starter kits, and references to get developers from curious to API calls quickly.
• Contribute integrations and sample projects to open-source repos for learning.
• Create content: videos, livestreams, tutorials, and docs to showcase launches.
• Own You.com’s developer presence on Discord and Reddit; engage and help developers.
• Engage communities beyond core platforms, including partner channels and forums.
• Build a You.com community of builders using our APIs.
• Collaborate with Brand and Social teams on content for X and LinkedIn.
• Shape hackathon themes, partner pairings, and challenges that yield new builds.
• Manage the DLG events calendar at major conferences.
• Speak at conferences, write CFPs, and help engineers present talks.
• Leverage networks to attract audiences to podcasts, streams, and newsletters.
• Develop a champion program to empower builders and meetups globally.
• Identify power users and convert them to contributors and advocates.
• Provide feedback loops to product/engineering on friction and use cases.
• Set goals for adoption: signups, activation, API usage from community channels.
