Job summary

Synthesia in Seattle is seeking a Developer Advocate to be the face and voice of the API to developers. You will write, code, and speak, building sample apps and tutorials that demonstrate real integrations with Synthesia’s platform.

You’ll represent the company at conferences, run livestreams, and gather feedback that shapes product direction. This role requires autonomy, travel, and a strong, authentic communicator across formats.

Qualifications

• Experience in developer relations or a similar hybrid technical/communication role.
• Hands-on coding experience and ability to build demo apps.
• Strong written and verbal communication across formats.
• Comfortable presenting at events and building community.
• Willingness to travel regularly for events and meetups.
• Proven track record of sustained content output (blog, video, or community content).
• Autonomy in a fast-moving, forming function.

Responsibilities

• Create technical content that developers actually use.
• Build sample apps, starter kits, and code snippets across languages.
• Produce video walkthroughs and livestreams using Synthesia’s product.
• Represent Synthesia at conferences, meetups, hackathons, and webinars.
• Channel developer feedback back to Product and Engineering in a structured way.
• Grow channels and measure engagement to inform the playbook.
