Responsibilities

We seek a developer advocate and community builder to bridge our developers and diverse user base. If you love coding and financial markets and enjoy engaging conversations on these topics, this role is for you.

As a Developer Advocate at Databento, you will:

• Build and grow our Slack community, fostering conversations about our product and fintech trends.
• Organize virtual events that engage our user base.
• Identify marketing channels, lead generation, and sponsorship opportunities to attract users.
• Create content to boost engagement across channels like Slack and social media.
• Manage and maintain newsletters for current and prospective users.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop technical content and improve SEO.
• Monitor feedback, reviews, and feature requests.
• Respond to customer queries and bugs in collaboration with engineering.
• Work with product and design teams to enhance user experience and community resources.
• Promote awareness of product features within the community.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, finance, marketing, communications, business, journalism, or related fields emphasizing writing or social skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience as a developer advocate, community manager, support engineer, product manager, or similar roles.
• Knowledge in finance, fintech, data, machine learning, or software engineering.
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite).
• Experience launching or managing community initiatives.
• Skills in social media management, SEO, and online marketing.
• Passion for teaching and communicating ideas to diverse audiences.
