Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Developer to design and build Node.js and Java backend services on AWS, with a focus on REST APIs and event-driven integrations.

You will provision AWS serverless infrastructure using reusable Terraform modules, deploy and support applications on ROSA/OpenShift, and collaborate on testing, security and observability to ensure reliable delivery.

Salary range is $90,000–$110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS serverless services.
• Backend development with Node.js and Java and REST APIs.
• Experience deploying containerized apps on ROSA/OpenShift.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, security and observability.
• Exposure to GenAI services like Amazon Bedrock preferred.
• Understanding IAM roles, secrets management and secure cloud config.
• Experience developing reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS serverless services, especially Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
• Backend development using Node.js and Java, including REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications on ROSA/OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, automated testing, security, and observability.
• Basic exposure to GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock is preferred.
• Understanding of IAM roles, secrets management, and secure cloud configuration.
