Job summary

Alberici is seeking a DevOps Lead to define and execute the DevOps vision, partnering with engineering, product, and security teams to align priorities and deliver reliable software releases.

You will own cloud infrastructure design and automation (Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes) and champion IaC, CI/CD, and observability practices across projects in North America. Strong collaboration and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Lead with experience building DevOps from the ground up.
  • Experience using AI DevOps tools to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure (PaaS, IaaS), Azure DevOps, Kubernetes (AKS), Terraform, YAML, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Git/GitHub, DataDog, JUnit, Playwright and CodeCov.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the DevOps vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company goals.
  • Lead design, deployment, and scaling of cloud infrastructure (Azure) and automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Champion Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Establish SRE best practices to improve uptime, resiliency, and performance with dashboards and alerts.
  • Partner with Security to integrate DevSecOps into the SDLC and support compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor usage to optimize costs without sacrificing reliability.

Position Overview
  • Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute the DevOps vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals. Partner with engineering, product, and security teams to align priorities and ensure operational excellence.
  • Infrastructure & Automation: Own the design, deployment, and scaling of cloud infrastructure (Azure). Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure releases. Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) practices.
  • Reliability & Observability: Establish SRE best practices to drive uptime, system resilience, and performance. Create and maintain metrics and reporting performance dashboards, logs, and monitoring alerts to proactively identify and address issues related to system reliability, scalability, and security. Enable blameless post mortems (PIRs) with a focus on root cause and continuous improvement.
  • Security & Compliance: Partner with Security to ensure DevSecOps practices are integrated into the SDLC. Support SOC 2, ISO, GDPR, and other compliance initiatives through secure infrastructure practices.
  • Cost & Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud usage and resources to optimize infrastructure costs without compromising performance or reliability. Regularly review and optimize resource usage across environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Lead with experience creating DevOps from the ground up.
  • Experience using AI Dev Ops tools to enhance efficiency, improve collaboration, and ensure higher quality in software delivery.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure (PaaS, IaaS), Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines), Kubernetes (AKS), Azure Container Service (ACS), Docker, Terraform, YAML, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Git/GitHub, Github Actions, DataDog, Junit, Playwright and CodeCov.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
