Job summary

American Axle & Manufacturing is offering a 2027 Summer Internship in Detroit, MI. The program provides hands-on experience, exposure to automotive products and processes, and opportunities to work with leaders across the organization.

Housing assistance may be available for eligible interns. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and can commit to at least 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree full-time with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Enrolled and in good academic standing at an accredited college, university, or technical school.
• Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful projects across Dauch, our products and processes.
• Collaborate with experienced team members and leaders to support departmental goals.
• Attend meetings and trainings to develop technical, professional, and interpersonal skills.
• Build professional relationships and expand your network within Dauch.
