Job summary

Adaptive in Detroit is seeking a full-time Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide compassionate in-home care to patients in Detroit. You will manage personal care, mobility, and daily living activities, while documenting care in HCHB and coordinating with the supervising nurse.

This role offers competitive hourly pay ($20-$30) plus mileage reimbursement, a Monday–Friday schedule with some weekends, and benefits including health coverage and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Michigan HHA certification is required.
• 1+ years of experience providing personal care.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and provide hands-on care safely.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Comfortable working independently in patients' homes.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and mobility.
• Support medication reminders as directed by care plan.
• Monitor and report changes in condition and daily living activities.
• Perform light housekeeping related to patient safety and care.
• Document care accurately and timely in HCHB.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care team for continuity of care.
• Follow infection control practices and maintain dignity and privacy.
• Coordinate with supervising RN/LVN for care plan updates.
