Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, is seeking a per diem Detox Unit Registered Nurse to support patient care in a medical/telemetry environment at 6225 Sharlands Ave in Northwest Reno. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include comprehensive care assessments, care plan implementation, and coordination with the care partner to address educational, physical, and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• One year full time or three years part time experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
