Job summary

CMHA-CEI operates a 10-bed medically managed detoxification program in Lansing, where the selected candidate will assist the medical staff with vitals, medication management, and daily consumer assistance. You will help greet and support consumers in both individual and group settings, with crisis intervention as needed.

Under supervision of the Integrated Treatment & Recovery Services Coordinator, this role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and a commitment to serving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with persons with substance use disorders.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Basic computer word-processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical staff with consumer vitals and medication management.
• Food preparation, cleaning, and welcoming consumers.
• Provide individual and group crisis support.
• Share information with therapists and nurses within the unit.
