Job summary

Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness in Maine is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to support the Cedar Road program within the Wabanaki Center for Healing and Recovery. You will provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to clients experiencing withdrawal symptoms, manage medications, assess vitals, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires an unrestricted RN license in Maine, with at least one year of detox or med-surge experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Maine.
• One year of detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing intake and assessment during admission.
• Process, manage, and implement orders from providers.
• Monitor vital signs and dispense medications as ordered.
• Document client interactions and counseling in the EMR.
• Perform suicide risk assessments and coordinate care with the team.
