Job summary

Axiom Care in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients through medical detoxification. You will collaborate with physicians, counselors, and healthcare staff in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach.

The role requires night and weekend shifts and adherence to nursing standards and infection control protocols. Responsibilities include monitoring withdrawal, administering medications, documenting care, educating patients and families, and

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Arizona.
• Current CPR certification.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• CPI training or certification is preferred.
• Residential and/or psychiatric care experience is a plus.
• Experience with EMR and nursing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor withdrawal signs and symptoms.
• Administer medications as prescribed to support safe detoxification.
• Obtain and document nursing history from patients and families.
• Perform focused physical assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Follow physician orders for admissions, treatment, and discharge.
• Maintain infection control and nursing standards per policy.
• Chart patient progress in EMR and communicate with team during handoffs.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and risks of addiction.
• Advocate for patient rights and informed consent.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to care planning.
