Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is recruiting a Case Manager for our Detox and Residential facility in Indianapolis, IN. You will advocate for clients, initiate intake-based case management, oversee insurance coverage, and coordinate housing and post-discharge services.

We value empathy, strong communication, and the ability to navigate complex barriers to treatment. 1 year in the treatment field and sobriety if in recovery are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Warm, empathetic, respectable personality

Responsibilities

• Advocate for client, addressing and resolving any external barriers to treatment
• Initiate case management for each client upon intake, addressing any pressing needs
• Oversee client accounts, ensuring insurance is active throughout duration of treatment
• Provide ongoing case management throughout the duration of treatment
• Arrange housing, financial aid, legal aid, vocational training etc. as necessary for client post-discharge
• Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning (continuing care, housing, sober support etc.)
