Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
• Active Georgia LPC license in good standing; associate license may be considered with supervision requirements.
• Experience with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring populations preferred.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, DSM-informed assessment, crisis intervention, and ethical documentation.
• Ability to provide individual, group, and family therapy within Georgia scope.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, substance use screenings, risk assessments, and level-of-care reviews using ASAM criteria.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans, relapse-prevention plans, goals, and discharge plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling for adults and families with SUD and co-occurring disorders.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and recovery-oriented groups, including 12 Step and related models.
• Monitor client progress, safety, and engagement; adjust interventions as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals to higher levels of care when indicated.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, families, and community resources to coordinate care.
• Educate clients/families on addiction, mental health, coping strategies, recovery resources, and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record per policy and regulations.
• Participate in supervision, case conferences, and quality-improvement activities.
