Job summary

Radix Recovery in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality care for patients undergoing detoxification. The role may be filled as Residential Nurse, Detox Nurse, or a combination based on qualifications and experience.

You will assess patients, monitor withdrawal symptoms, administer medications as ordered, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to adjust treatment plans. Strong documentation and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

Valid Iowa unencumbered Nursing License (LPN minimum).
Degree from accredited school of nursing.
Knowledge of detox/withdrawal care and nursing standards is required; training available for mental health/detox as needed.
Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and monitor withdrawal symptoms using CIWA and COWS.
Administer medications as ordered by Medical Providers and document it.
Coordinate intake, transfers, and referrals within Radix Recovery network.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients throughout withdrawal/detox.
Maintain accurate EHR documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulations.
Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and interdisciplinary team.
Supervise/ delegate tasks to LPNs, Techs, and CNAs as applicable.
