Job summary

Cherry Creek Treatment Center LLC in Kansas is seeking a compassionate Detox and Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Nurse to support patients through detoxification and rehabilitation. You will assess health, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor treatment plans.

The role emphasizes crisis management, accurate documentation, and ongoing education for staff and patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

Current LPN/RN license in Kansas.
Minimum 1 year of experience in substance abuse treatment or mental health nursing preferred.
CPR/BLS certification required; certification in addiction nursing (CARN) is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Comfort with fast-paced inpatient settings and shift work including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and during treatment.
Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects and efficacy.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other staff to develop treatment plans.
Respond to medical emergencies and manage behavioral crises with de-escalation techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes and MARs.
Participate in ongoing training and lead staff/patient education sessions.
Promote wellness and coping strategies to support long-term recovery.
