Job summary

Central City Concern is seeking a dedicated subacute care aide to join our on-site team in Portland, supporting RNs and patients in a 55-patient detox setting. This union-represented role requires calm de-escalation, accurate vital signs, and reliable handoffs during admissions.

You will work nights, weekends, and be part of a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, holidays, retirement plan, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must read and write and have legible handwriting.
• Knowledge of computer skills.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in maintaining a calm, quiet and orderly subacute environment by utilizing verbal and physical de-escalations skills.
• Attend RN shift report and relay to on-coming staff.
• Work with the RN during admissions to facilitate efficient intake.
• Provide each patient with program information and orientation.
• Record vital signs during medication pass and inform nursing staff of unusual signs.
• Inventory, restock and maintain clean patient areas and linens.
• Follow HIPAA and privacy regulations; report breaches to CCC Compliance Department.
