Job summary

Midwest Center of Youngstown in Austintown, Ohio, is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for day shift to support detox treatment and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include med administration, nursing assessments, and patient education within a rehabilitative behavioral health setting. A current LPN license and CPR are required, with detox/psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current LPN license in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in detox or similar behavioral health treatment.
• Experience with psychiatric nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications within licensure.
• Performs nursing assessments at intake, during shifts, and at discharge.
• Reconciles medications at end of shift and ensures infection control compliance by staff.
• Collaborates with medical team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provides emotional support and education to patients and families.
