Qualifications

  • Two years of college with significant coursework in juvenile justice, sociology, or psychology.
  • Two years of experience engaging and supporting juveniles in detention or similar settings, or an equivalent combination.
  • Satisfactory combination of work, education, or training as determined by Marion County.

Responsibilities

  • Provides active supervision of juveniles to ensure safety and security.
  • Delivers services and programs aligned with department goals and objectives.
  • Offers orientation and guidance to incoming juveniles.
  • Maintains documentation, behavior notes, and shift reports.
  • Transports juveniles when necessary and supervises visits.
