Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Two years of experience in juvenile justice allowed.
• Post-secondary education in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field preferred.
• Must be 18 or older and pass caregiver/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise juveniles in secure detention and support care services.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and enforce detention center policies.
• Record observations and document information per laws and regulations.
• Admit and discharge juveniles according to procedures; maintain records.
• Provide health, safety, meals, laundry, and recreation for residents; transport to court and appointments.
• Coordinate daily program activities and conduct home/school/work site visits.
