Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a custody and security professional in Anson, Texas. The role involves guarding non-citizens, observing activities, and maintaining safety and order at Bluebonnet Detention Center.

You will perform searches, respond to emergencies, and ensure proper documentation and reporting. A high school diploma is required; Texas driver’s license and pre-service training are also required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior corrections experience is preferred.
• Must successfully complete required pre-service training.
• Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record, unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Provide custody and security of non-citizens, including observation in various areas.
• Search for contraband and provide security; perform pat-down and strip searches.
• Respond to emergencies, which may require running, stairs and physical restraint.
• Work all posts, follow post orders, and perform duties outlined in orders.
• May transfer non-citizens by walking or in vehicles; restrain as needed.
• Review detainee health and safety records and relay information to staff.
• Prepare and maintain records, forms and reports.
