Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; must pass a thorough background investigation.
• Must pass Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission certifications.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; maintain fitness to meet Dept. standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and inmates; enforces post orders and regulations.
• Maintains safety and security of detention facilities and visitors.
• Provides court security and moves inmates as assigned.
• Performs inspections, searches for contraband, and maintains logs/reports.
• De-escalates potentially violent situations and uses force only per policy.
