Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of work experience preferred.
• Associate degree (or higher) in criminal justice, business, public administration, or social science meets education/experience requirements.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• No felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions.
• No Class B misdemeanor convictions within the last ten years.
• Must be available for 24/7 shifts and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming/outgoing prisoners and escort to cells.
• Books, fingerprints, and screens prisoners per guidelines; assign housing.
• Conduct searches and maintain prisoner property inventory.
• Operate and monitor safety systems and equipment.
• Monitor prisoner activity and restrain as needed for safety.
• Enter arrest information in criminal system; maintain logs.
• Maintain cleanliness in cells and perform other duties as assigned.
