Durham County Government is seeking a part-time relief social worker to join the JUSTICES SERVICES department. This role provides intensive psychosocial rehabilitation and casework in a detention facility, with evening and weekend shifts.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work and NC LCSW licensure, along with HIPAA-compliant documentation. Responsibilities include screening, suicide risk assessments, counseling, and coordination with medical/detention staff.

Competenze

• Master's degree in social work and NC LCSW licensure required.
• Two years of supervised social work experience as required by NC board.

Mansioni

• Conduct initial screening for identified mental health clients referred from intake.
• Assess clients on suicide precautions by conducting a risk assessment for self-harm.
• Assess clients on observation to determine level of care and supervision needed.
• Provide individual counseling sessions for clients on the mental health caseload.
• Respond to Kiosk requests as assigned by jail mental health supervisor.
• Enter required documentation in electronic medical record and ensure HIPAA compliance.
