Job summary

BSNC seeks a reliable Food Service Worker in El Paso, TX to assist in dining and meal service within the detention facility. You will wash, peel, chop vegetables, prepare simple foods, plate meals, pour beverages, and maintain clean dining and kitchen areas.

You will also support setup, restock, and delivery of meals to detainees, while following safety standards and facility policies. Strong English communication and the ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must pass extensive background investigation and pre-employment medical testing.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Not currently employed by federal agency or active duty military.

Responsibilities

• Washes, peels, scrapes and cuts vegetables and fruits.
• Prepares simple salads and toast.
• Cooks beverages and serves meals on trays or plates.
• Sets up dining and serving areas and restsock supplies.
• Delivers food carts to detention areas and returns carts to kitchen.
• Maintains cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas; follows safety standards.
• Supports detainee dining operations and adheres to facility policies.
