Job summary

Denton County, TX seeks a supervisory health care professional to oversee clinical and administrative operations in the county jail. You will supervise medical staff, perform vital signs, phlebotomy, medication administration, and support physician-directed care.

Responsibilities include inmate health assessments, charting, and ensuring compliance with correctional health policies and regulations. ACLS preferred; Texas driver license required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED.
• EMT or Medical Assistant certification or Paramedic/LVN/RN certification.
• 5 years of experience in a related field or 2 years with Paramedic/LVN/RN credentials.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises medical staff and coordinates shift operations.
• Performs vital signs, phlebotomy, medication administration, and physician-directed care.
• Maintains inmate health records and charts orders and actions.
• Performs minor surgical procedures.
• Assists physicians in evaluations and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations on pharmaceuticals.
