Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED with Medical Assistant Certification.
• CPR certification is required.
• US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating movement of detainees to and from medical treatment.
• Take and record vital signs and medical history of assigned detainees.
• Prepare detainees for examinations and assist nurse or provider during examination.
• Work to ensure providers have a seamless flow of patients, supplies, charts and equipment.
• Explain treatment procedures and provide education on conditions and plans.
• Chart medical care accurately and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Administer oral medications.
• Perform complex procedures under supervision and operate therapeutic equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean facility and manage inventory.
