Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring for a full-time Medical Assistant role in Marana, AZ. The position offers $21.34 per hour with full-time hours and benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, paid time off, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or registry recognized by AZ.
• CPR certification required.
• US citizenship or lawful permanent residency required.

Responsabilités

• Assist in coordinating movement of detainees to and from different areas for medical treatment.
• Take and record vital signs and medical history of assigned detainees.
• Prepare detainees for examinations and assist nurse or provider during examination.
• Work efficiently to ensure providers have seamless flow of patients, and supplies, charts and equipment are readily available.
• Explain treatment procedures to detainees; provide education on condition, treatment or treatment plan.
• Properly chart medical care consistent with scope of practice and ensure completeness and accuracy of entries.
• Administer oral medications.
• Provide assistance to infirmary detainees and accurately enter treatment provided in medical records.
• Perform complex procedures under nursing supervision (dressing changes, wound care, urine and finger stick glucose tests).
• Set up and operate therapeutic equipment; instruct detainees in therapies.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; store supplies; sterilize instruments and equipment.

Formation

High school diploma or GED

Medical Assistant Certification/Registry

CPR certification

US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident

Valid driver’s license
