Qualifications

  • Skill in exercising independent judgment and recognizing when supervisor review is necessary.

Job description

Under general supervision, performs specialized administrative and financial duties in support of Detention Division operations.   • Performs specialized administrative and financial duties in support of DetentionDivision operations.
  • Processes and maintains inmate account transactions, deposits, checks, and relatedfinancial records.
  • Maintains accountability for funds and ensures financial transactions are accurate and properly documented.
  • Reconciles cash drawers, deposits, accounts, and financial records; researches and resolves discrepancies
  • Communicates with federal law enforcement agencies, Laramie County Treasurer’s Office, and other governmental agencies regarding inmate accounts, financial transactions, records, and related matters
  • Exercises independent judgment when reviewing transactions, identifying errors, and determining when additional review or supervisor involvement is necessary.
  • Maintains accurate files, databases, reports, correspondence, and other records.
  • Collects and compiles data; reviews records and financial documents for accuracy.
  • Provides customer service assistance to staff, inmates, family members, vendors, and other parties.
  • Maintains sensitive and confidential inmate, personal, and financial information.
  • Performs general administrative duties, including processing mail, scanning records, preparing documents and maintaining files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; one year of administrative, clerical, customer service, financial recordkeeping, cash handling, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
