Job summary

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized individuals by following site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify authorization, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and in a professional manner while following post orders and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeters.
• Complete required reports and maintain accurate activity logs; communicate observations to leadership and site representatives.

This driving position requires a valid driver's license. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized individuals by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities within a correctional environment.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established post orders and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeters, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and designated site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
