Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of pharmacist experience.
• PharmD degree from an accredited program.
• ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical practice.
• Active license in good standing with state Board of Pharmacy (Arizona) or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• US citizenship or work authorization.
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass background checks.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor medication orders for safety and clinical appropriateness.
• Dispense medications and oversee distribution in the facility.
• Monitor therapy for effectiveness and potential drug interactions.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and behavioral health staff on treatment needs.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and DEA logs.
• Conduct medication utilization reviews and inventory reconciliation.
• Provide clinical guidance and education to healthcare staff.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and disposal of medications.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement.
• Support intake screenings and emergency response as needed.
• Assist inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
