Job summary

Archuleta County Sheriff's Office is recruiting qualified Detention Deputies for a role in the county detention facility. The position offers a wage of $25.55 per hour plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision, a 401(a) retirement plan with up to 7% County match, paid holidays, PTO, and $50,000 life and AD&D insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Candidates must be at least 19 years of age.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or obtainable within first year.

Responsibilities

• Process and release inmates; take photographs, fingerprints, and inventory property.
• Explain detention procedures and answer detainee questions.
• Supervise inmates to ensure security and welfare of staff, visitors, and inmates.
• Maintain inmate roster and location boards; conduct counts and checks.
• Operate detention center control panels to secure the facility.
• Disperse medications and participate on the inmate discipline board.
