Job summary

The Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a Food Support Worker at the Collier Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Naples, FL. You will store, prepare and serve meals to youth and staff in a secure facility, follow menus and diet orders, and operate a range of kitchen equipment.

You must maintain food safety standards, complete daily temperature logs and production records, and participate in inventory and cleaning duties. Overtime, rotating shifts, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to use equipment required for the position.
• Ability to stand long periods with some heavy lifting.
• Basic math skills including measuring, adding and deducting.

Responsibilities

• Store, prepare and serve food to youth and staff in a secure facility.
• Prepare and cook foods according to recipes and pull sheets.
• Follow menu or diet orders and fill meals accordingly.
• Set up and break down food service line and assist with inventory.
• Maintain temperature logs, production records and related documentation.
