Job summary

A security services provider in Washington, D.C. is seeking motivated Contract Detention Officers to ensure the secure detention and transportation of prisoners, maintaining professionalism and compliance with guidelines. Key responsibilities include monitoring inmates, responding to incidents, and transporting inmates securely. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in relevant roles and will benefit from a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, paid time off, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Fluency in English (speak, read, write).
• Must have Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Training in the use of USMS-approved firearms and less-than-lethal devices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise inmates through regular walking rounds.
• Maintain order and discipline among inmates.
• Escort and transport inmates securely within the facility.
• Conduct thorough inmate searches.
• Work with a team of Correctional Detention Officers.
