Job summary

Nebius is hiring a Detection Engineering & Response Lead to build and run the D&R capability for Nebius Cloud. You will own detection development, threat intel, and incident response, leading a small team of analysts and engineers.

You will architect coverage across cloud and bare-metal environments, extend our D&R tools, and work with Compliance and Engineering to align security with regulatory needs. This is a remote-first role with equity options.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in security operations or incident response.
• Hands-on with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, Linux).
• Proficient in SIEM rule-writing and tuning.
• Experience with SOAR workflows and automated responses.

Responsibilities

• Lead detection development with low false positives.
• Architect detection coverage across cloud and bare-metal.
• Build and extend internal D&R tools and runbooks.
• Integrate threat intel into detection logic.
• Lead end-to-end incident response.
• Partner with Compliance and Engineering during incidents.
• Define and report D&R metrics (MTTD/MTTR).
• Scale tools, runbooks, and on-call processes.
