Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a senior security operations leader to build and scale the detection engineering function across cloud and endpoint telemetry. You will own detection‑as‑code pipelines and drive incident response for high‑severity events while shaping a scalable security roadmap.

You will collaborate with leadership to translate threat landscape into prioritized improvements and work across corp IT and infrastructure teams to fix root causes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response.
• You’ve built or scaled a detection engineering function with measurable coverage.
• Hands-on experience writing detections for cloud and endpoint telemetry.
• Strong Python scripting to build and maintain detection‑as‑code pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build the detection engineering function from the ground up with telemetry pipelines and runbooks.
• Own detection‑as‑code end to end with tests and version control.
• Lead incident response for high‑severity events and postmortems.
• Drive automation of triage and enrichment in Python.
• Partner with leadership on security strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate across corp IT and infrastructure teams to fix root causes.
