Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southeast is seeking a detail-oriented individual to develop simple projects under supervision, focusing on accurate reinforcement detailing for fabrication, delivery, and invoicing. You will build customer relationships while helping maximize profitability for Nucor Rebar Fabrication.

Responsibilities include learning RebarCAD, reading blueprints, and submitting drawings for approval.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Vocational certificate (or currently enrolled) in CAD design/drafting or related degree.
• At least six months experience using AutoCAD and Windows-based software.
• Able to read architectural/engineering blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Detail simple projects with mentor supervision; provide concise, accurate, and complete descriptions of reinforcing steel and related products for fabrication, delivery, installation, and invoicing.
• Learn how to cultivate a customer service relationship while maximizing profitability for Nucor Rebar Fabrication.
• Develop working knowledge of AutoCAD and the basics of detailing system (RebarCAD).
• Submit placing drawings for approval and ensure conformance to branch QA and placer/shop requirements.
• Process change orders to maximize returns for the Branch.
• Maintain all deliveries for fabrication.
• Communicate with customers, placer and Architect/Engineer on project questions; submit RFIs as required.
• Work with Detailing Manager to ensure all specialty items are pre-ordered to meet construction schedules.
