• Knowledge of industry standards - AISC manual, Code of Standard Practice, Spec, AWS symbols & proper application of all of the aforementioned.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods & procedures for shop and field applications.
• Able to prepare shop drawings, final stage before fabrication

• Ability to ask questions for clarification and understanding

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings (Definition of shop drawing: drawing of each part required of the structural steel. This drawing will be used by the steel fabricator and includes, but is not limited to, member size, length, notches, position & holes diameter, welds and bolts).
• Read structural & architectural design drawings; use this information to create 3D model in SDS2. Draw erection plans, elevations & sections for field use.
• Draw details and sub-materials for fabrication. Coordinate job requirements with project managers and subcontractors.
• Attend team coordination meetings.
• Printing.
• Classify.
