• Dimension all drawings accurately for shop fabrication and field installation
• Follow company detailing standards, templates, and drawing conventions
• Work from approved layout drawings and engineering calculations to create detail drawings
• Include material specifications, fastener callouts, and finish requirements
• Create accurate bills of materials for steel components
• Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions
• Use proper layering, line weights, and annotation standards in CAD
• Check own work for dimensional accuracy and completeness before submission
• Incorporate redline comments and corrections from supervisor or checkers
• Learn to identify and avoid common detailing errors
• Ask questions when encountering unclear design requirements or specifications
• Ensure drawings are clear and understandable for fabrication and installation personnel
• Coordinate with Layout department to understand design intent
• Communicate with supervisor regarding project priorities and questions
