Job summary

Spitzer Autoworld in Northfield is seeking a full-time Auto Detailer to clean and polish vehicles, both inside and out, and perform minor touch-ups on chips. You will help maintain high service standards while supporting the team in delivering a polished look for customers’ cars.

The role requires at least one year of detailing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle exterior and interior using proper cleaning tools.

• Wax, buff, and protect surfaces for shine and protection.
• Shampoo and vacuum interiors; dispose of waste responsibly.
• Shine headlights and perform basic detailing tasks as assigned.

A Detailer will wash the interior and exterior of the vehicle and perform minor touch ups on chips and scratches to the auto body.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wash vehicle exterior using cleaning solution, water, cloths and brushes
• Touch up minor chips and scratches to the auto body
• Wet sand and buff minor imperfections to the auto body
• Apply wax to the auto body and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine using cloths or buffing machine
• Shampoo and vacuum interior carpets to remove loose dirt and debris
• Perform headlight restorations
• Other related duties as assigned·

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year experience detailing automobiles
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Self-starter who is internally motivated to achieve established performance goals
• Reliable transportation and attendance
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
