Job summary

Buick GMC Cadillac of Thousand Oaks is seeking a Detail Technician to maintain high presentation standards for new and used vehicles. In a flat-rate environment, you will wash, vacuum, polish, and protect vehicles to the dealership’s standards, ensuring each car is guest-ready and ready for delivery.

Ideal candidates bring reliability, a strong work ethic, and comfort with detail equipment. No prior detailing experience is required, and a clear driver’s license is needed to support dealership

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior detail work on vehicles to dealership standards.
• Prepare vehicles for delivery, ensuring cleanliness and presentation.
• Apply paint and fabric protection and aftermarket products as directed.
• Inspect vehicles for cosmetic issues and address or escalate.
• Operate detail equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe detail bay.
• Coordinate with service advisors, sales staff, and porters to prioritize readiness.
• Work under a flat-rate structure, driving earnings with throughput and quality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform thorough interior and exterior detail work on new, used, and service vehicles -- washing, vacuuming, polishing, and protecting to dealership standards
• Prepare vehicles for guest delivery -- ensuring every car is clean, presentable, and ready to make a strong first impression
• Apply paint protection, fabric protection, and aftermarket appearance products as directed
• Inspect vehicles for cosmetic issues during the detail process -- scratches, stains, and odors -- addressing or escalating appropriately
• Operate detail equipment including pressure washers, buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners safely and effectively
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe detail bay and work area throughout every shift
• Coordinate with service advisors, sales staff, and porters to prioritize vehicle readiness and meet delivery timelines
• Work efficiently on a flat-rate structure -- your throughput, quality, and consistency directly drive your earnings

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• No prior detailing experience required -- previous cleaning, detailing, car wash, or fleet service experience is a strong plus
