Job summary

Cato Corporation is seeking an Accountant to assist with journal entries, month-end close, and external reporting. You will support quarterly and annual reporting, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly financial schedules.

Experience with Oracle and MS Office is preferred; 1–2 years in accounting and strong organizational skills are desired to ensure timely, accurate financial closes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience; Oracle preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Review and preparation of journal entries.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly (10Q) and annual (10K) reporting.
• Account Analyst reconciliations.
• Monthly internal financial schedules.
• Lease Accounting.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting.
• Month-end close duties.
• Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
