PlayCore is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Accounting Department with month-end close, project costing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience including AP, AR, reconciliations, cash processing, and month-end activities.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial record keeping.
• Experience with environments that have recurring deadlines and multiple processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cash receipt deposits and process customer payments; maintain AR records and communicate with customers.
• Reconcile deposits with customers; track timelines and communicate changes to management.
• Review and process customer invoices from Sales; ensure accuracy before processing.
• Support month-end close by maintaining reconciled AR journals, aging reports, projections, and related schedules.
• Process vendor payments on time; maintain vendor records and relationships.
• Reconcile deposits held with vendors; respond to vendor inquiries and document accordingly.
• Support bookkeeping and financial reporting by maintaining AP journals, cash disbursements, aging reports, and sales tax records.
• Prepare bank deposits and supporting documentation.
• Assist with project costing and account reconciliations for accurate reporting.
• Review work for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and follow-through until resolved.
• Maintain organized financial records per procedures and requirements.
• Manage multiple recurring duties and deadlines with high accuracy and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
