Ledgent is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join a growing team in Minnetonka, MN. This onsite, temp-to-hire position offers hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end activities, and financial reporting while collaborating with company leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, 1–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals to support a fast-paced finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments, and vendor records
• Create customer invoices and apply cash receipts
• Support collections and maintain customer account balances
• Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Prepare reports and analyze financial data
• Identify ways to improve processes and increase efficiency
• Support special projects and day-to-day finance operations
