AMERISAFE, Inc. in Southwest Florida is seeking a detail-oriented Field Auditor to independently conduct virtual and/or on-site audits of policyholder accounts, ensuring accurate premium calculations and timely adjustments within state and company guidelines.

The role emphasizes thorough record review, data accuracy, and adherence to audit timelines. The position requires travel to audit sites, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work from home or in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience in auditing, accounting or workers' compensation preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent customer service and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage a geographic territory of policyholder accounts.
• Schedule and complete audits virtually or at a location designated by policyholder.
• Complete interim audits within 90 days of policy inception and final audits within 60 days of policy expiration.
• Examine policyholder records including accounting, payroll and tax documents, as well as job descriptions and contractor certificates of insurance.
• Research and substantiate accuracy of policy classifications, officer inclusions/exclusions, subcontractors, etc.
• Complete detailed and accurate description of policyholder operations.
• Prepare audit reports showing analyzed data, calculations and classifications.
• Synchronize account with home office for retrieval of completed audits on a routine basis.
• Ability to travel routinely when audit type is physical, including some overnight travel.
• Foster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and service.
